John Rambo has retreated to northern Thailand, where he''s running a longboat on the Salween River. On the nearby Thai-Burma (Myanmar) border, the world''s longest-running civil war, the Burmese-Karen conflict, rages into its 60th year. But Rambo, who lives a solitary, simple life in the mountains and jungles fishing and catching poisonous snakes to sell, has long given up fighting, even as medics, mercenaries, rebels and peace workers pass by on their way to the war-torn region. That all changes when a group of human rights missionaries search out the American river guide John Rambo. When Sarah and Michael Bennett approach him, they explain that since last year''s trek to the refugee camps, the Burmese military has laid landmines along the road, making it too dangerous for overland travel. They ask Rambo to guide them up the Salween and drop them off, so they can deliver medical supplies and food ...

   Are you ready for another rousing adventure through obscure history, hidden compartments, incredible unrealistic situations, and more? Well then kiddies, National Treasure: Book of Secrets is the movie for you. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending upon how you feel about Nicolas Cage) the producers were able to retain all of the key players from the original movie. This really helps add a bit of credibility to this less than inspirational sequel. Does that mean this movie isn’t worth your time? Not necessarily.

   Agent 47 (Timothy Olyphant) has been educated to become a professional assassin for hire, whose most powerful weapons are his nerve and a resolute pride in his work. 47 is both the last two digits of his barcode tattoo and his only name. The hunter becomes the hunted when 47 gets caught up in a political takeover. Both Interpol and the Russian military chase the hitman across Eastern Europe as he tries to find out who set him up and why they’re trying to take him out of the game. But the greatest threat to 47’s survival may be the stirrings of his conscience and the unfamiliar emotions aroused in him by a beautiful, damaged girl.

   It was only a matter of time before someone tried to make another CG film with realistic humans. Final Fantasy was the first,. Polar Express was the second and Beowulf is the next attempt at the seemingly impossible task of successfully putting CG humans in film.   The story of Beowulf makes for such an excellent film. Beowulf is an arrogant and exciting hero that fights monsters and demons the like. So why in the world would you take the risk of messing up such a great story by pairing it up with the impossible task of making it a completely CG film? No matter how good the story is, no matter how heroic your main character, if you don’t nail the CG characters then your film will go nowhere at the box office. None the less, Robert Zemeckis threw caution to the wind and tried again. Despite how bad Polar Express ...

   Alice (Milla Jovovich), now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Olivera and L.J., along with new survivors Claire, K-Mart and Nurse Betty to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead...and to seek justice. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenic experimentation and becomes genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive.
