Eddie Murphy is at it again. He is playing multiple characters in the new comedy, Norbit. Norbit is a very passive, mild-mannered man. He was abandoned as a small child (actually he was thrown out of a car while moving) and raised in an orphanage run by Mr Wong (played my Eddie Murphy). One day when at school Norbit was being picked on by two bullies. To his surprise a very large and aggressive girl named Rasputia (also played by Eddie Murphy) came to his rescue. Rasputia immediately forces Norbit to be her boyfriend. Norbit finds himself as an adult married to the very abusive Rasputia. He realizes that what he needs to do is go back to Kate, his very first childhood love from his days at the orphanage. (Thandie Newton). Of course Rasputia would ...

If you somehow find yourself in a situation where you are given the choice between watching this movie and gouging out your eyes, go with the latter. I saw this movie with the hopes of getting a good laugh and some classic lines to repeat with my friends, I was sadly mistaken. As the film begins you get the feeling that your high expectations and all the hype are justified, as there were some funny moments that made me chuckle. However, things quickly go downhill from there.

I really don’t know what to say about this movie. I was down in Indianapolis with the in-laws for Turkey day, and after all the days festivities there was some time to kill so we decided to go see a movie. It was my original intention to write this review using one word, “Bad.” To be honest, that’s all that really needs to be said about the movie. Beginning to end this movie was just horrible, let’s total some things up there is: 1 poorly conceived plot, 0 attempts at proper character development, 2 “Christmas Vacation” rip-offs, 1 uncalled for scene featuring Matthew Broderick in a speed skating outfit,1 gratuitous use of a Christmas carol sing-a-long,1 extremely bright house. ...

Right when I think I am going to get sick of Will Ferrell he comes out with a gem. His style of humor does not get old. It is so silly you can’t help but to laugh. Go ahead and add Taladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, to the string of hilarity created by Crazy Willy. I think we knew we were in trouble when Josh and I were outside waiting in line for Taladega Nights and the line started just outside the theatre doors and wrapped around the building. To add to the epiphany, a cute girl from one of the southern states asked us, “So are you NASCAR fans?” She was there to see the cars.
