Grab a huge bowl. Grab that old, dusty script written by Charles Dickens named “A Christmas Carol”. Toss it in the bowl. Reach over and measure out a tablespoon of Adam Sandler’s comedy. Sprinkle in some Christopher Walken and David Hasselhoff. Now spice it up with some damn sexy Kate Beckinsale. Preheat oven to 450 degrees and bake until you have “Click”. I was worried that Adam Sandler’s brand of comedy was going to ruin this film for me, but I say, NAY! This was a hilarious movie that not only tickles your heart, but also slams you back into sadness just to swing you into a smile and have you wondering if you are bipolar.

This movie is pure GOLD. I am sure all the critics will say it’s stupid, mindless, and idiotic. Fortunately for us, that’s exactly what it was supposed to be. I mean let’s be honest. If you walk into this movie hoping to be educated or enlightened, then perhaps you are walking into the wrong movie. If you just want to revel in the hilarity that is Jack Black dressed up as a Mexican wrestler, then take a seat and enjoy the ride! The story alone is absolutely priceless. Ignacio (Nacho for short) serves as a man of GOD at a Mexican monastery. Nacho begins to moonlight as a Lucha Libre wrestler in order to fulfill his life long dreams of fame, while at the same time helping to feed the orphans living behind the monastery walls. The church of course strictly ...

In an effort to continually chronicle all of the chick-flicks that I have the privilege of attending, here I am with my review of “The Break-Up”. So let’s break this down a bit. We have: Vince Vaughn (Old School) does his usual thing, Jon Favreau (Swingers) has some of the best lines in the movie, Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket), Jason Batemen (Arrested Development), Cole Hauser (The Cave), Joey Lauren Adams (Chasing Amy), and some other chick. I think her name is like… Jennifer… Aniston (Office Space) or something… you may have heard of her, I think she was in Friends and married to that Brad Pitt guy. The movie itself has a pretty good cast… on paper you’d think it’s going to be hilarious in fact. Unfortunately, that’s on paper. “The Break-Up” isn’t what I’d call a comedy, sure there were ...

The Pacifier is the story about a guy from the U.S.Special Forces who finds himself issued an interesting assignment. He is to watch over, and protect, the kids of a government scientist that created a super secret project, codename: The Ghost. Vin Diesel plays Shayne Wolfe, and though he is quite buff in the film, he has yet to convince me that his acting skills can stretch far enough for him to be convincing in this role. I almost hated him in XXX, if it wasn’t for the Corvette going over the bridge, I would have hated him. I don’t understand how a director can actually sit there and say, “That’s it! That’s a take and a wrap.” DUMB!

Well “Failure to Launch” opened at number one in the box office and deservedly so. In a time of zombies, monkeys and drive bys, it’s actually refreshing to see people still making themselves available to fall in love. Did I just say that? Sarah Jessica Parker plays a woman paid to romance “loser sons” that refuse to move out of their parents’ homes. She uses her "womanness" to motivate the unsuspecting son to move from the comforts of home. So, she is a professional… how do I say this while being politically correct…. genital tantalizer.
