Seriously? Return to Castle Wolfenstein?

Any top shooters list that doesn't include Doom 2 is a worthless read.

Sorry... that list is complete bullshit.

Luckily, the link specified this as the top 25 PC FPS games or else I would have killed someone for not including Goldeneye. Here are my thoughts on this list. Do you guys agree/disagree?

Half Life is 1 game. The expansion packs do not count as a second game. Maybe... Just maybe... I'll let you count Counter-strike as a game and HL as a game... but to have both... and their expansions... lame.
QUOTE
3. Counter-Strike: Condition Zero by Vivendi Universal
4. Half-Life: Counter-Strike by Vivendi Universal
20. Half-Life by Vivendi Universal Interactive Publishing
21. Half-Life Expansion Pack: Opposing Force by Vivendi Universal

This is just silly... Uh... the Original Unreal Tournament (Which Didn't make the list) should be listed before either one of these.
QUOTE
14. Unreal Tournament 2004 ( CD-ROM ) by Atari
15. Unreal Tournament 2003 by Atari

This is one game.... and how do you leave off Desert Combat, which is better than all of these.
QUOTE
2. Battlefield: 1942 by Electronic Arts
6. Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII Expansion Pack by Electronic Arts
7. Battlefield 1942 Expansion: The Road to Rome by Electronic Arts

One Game...
QUOTE
5. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault by Electronic Arts
8. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Breakthrough Expansion Pack by Electronic Arts
9. Medal of Honor Allied Assault Spearhead Expansion Pack by Electronic Arts

I would debate their placement order but they probably belong on the list.
QUOTE
1. Call of Duty: Game of the Year Edition by Activision
11. Half-Life 2 by Vivendi Universal
12. Halo: Combat Evolved by Microsoft
13. Doom 3 by Activision
16. Tribes 2 by Vivendi Universal
25. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield by Red Storm Entertainment

I apologize to the people I know that worked on this game... but it doesn't belong before Half-Life or Raven Shield (which is WAY underrated), but I think I've cleared off enough room for it to stay on the list smile.gif
QUOTE
17. Planetside by Sony Online Entertainment

And as everyone else said... how does this make the list and not Doom 2 or Duke Nukem 3D for that matter.
QUOTE
19. Return to Castle Wolfenstein by Activision

I haven't played these... but How do you include them without having Unreal Tournament, Doom 2, Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3, Heretic, Soldier of Fortune, Far Cry and Duke Nukem 3D? Seriously....
QUOTE
10. Day of Defeat by Activision
18. Delta Force: Black Hawk Down by Vivendi Universal
22. No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy In H.A.R.M.'s Way by Sierra
23. No One Lives Forever by Fox Interactive
24. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Athena Sword by Ubisoft

I also granted this list amnesty on the newer titles that were released after it's creation.

Well, my nostalgic part of my brain wants to say Duck Hunt, but I have to agree that Team Fortress 2 has changed the way I look at shooters. TF2 rocks my socks!
