Like most of you I love Gears of War and am anxiously awaiting its sequel with dreams of Marcus and the team chain sawing their merry way through hordes of locusts. So it is with little surprise that a certain news item caught my eye this afternoon. “Gears 2 given violence filter” brings back horrible memories of green goo spouting out of Liu Kang as Scorpions spear plunges into his chest on the SNES. Upon further investigation its not quite as bad as I thought it could be.

In a recent interview with Total Film.com , Mark Wahlberg comes clean stating his upcoming film Max Payne is his "favorite role so far". "I was lucky to get through it, but it made me stronger and, I hope, wiser. I had a lot of demons to fight. Maybe that's why this character is my favorite role so far," Wahlberg stated. "There's a definite theme of Max fighting the devils inside. There's a lot of action in this movie, but there's also plenty of emotion and psychology. It goes pretty deep."
What can I say about this one.... except this very well could be one of the greatest looking case mod I have ever seen. Modeled after everyone's favorite game Gears of War, this case mod features a glowing gears of war logo, raised textures, glowing red lights and more. Kudos to the creator known as "dfw monkie". In all honesty he needs to start thinking about how he can market this mod, People would easily spend $100.00 for a case like that. Anyway check out the images and video below... It's amazing.
On August 7th, Battlefield: Bad Company™ players worldwide will get to experience the intense rush as they tackle online play in a whole new way with Conquest mode that will be released as a free download for the PLAYSTATION®3 and Xbox 360™. Made famous by Battlefield 1942™, Conquest mode pits players against each other in a fast paced battle to eliminate the opposing team’s tickets. Players deplete their opponent’s tickets by one point per kill and can cause their opponents tickets to spiral downwards by capturing control points. Four maps that are currently available for online play in Gold Rush mode will be available to conquer with Conquest mode.
A spokesperson for the Memphis Regional Medical Center said that Morgan Freeman has been admitted after a car accident. Apparently the star was traveling on Mississippi Highway 32 in a Nissan Maxima when he and a female passenger veered off the road. He is reported to be in serious condition.
