Ah yes, remember Orlando Bloom, The arrow flinging Elf from Lord of the Rings well he's back and he has landed another major role. Orlando will be staring in the film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time based on a the video games developed by Ubisoft. The film is being produced and directed by the world famous Jerry Bruckheimer. It has also been reported that Bloom will be making a staggering $40 million dollars for his lead role. That's one hell of a big budget, If they can pay the Orlando 40 million dollars, what is it going to cost for the rest of the cast, not to mention the visual effects...
Well another slow week in the world of film releases. Unfortunately we don't have all that many to choose from this coming weekend. It looks like we have three films opening in Wide Release and four in select theaters. I'm going to make this really simple for you. If your looking for a comedy check out Drillbit Taylor staring Owen Wilson or if your in the mood for a Horror flick go see Shutter. Although I can't truly speak for the quality of these films like I said we don't have much of a choice for this coming weekend. Anyway on to the list...
I'm sure everyone is waiting hand and foot over this little baby. Capcom has confirmed the major cast members for its live-action Street Fighter movie which is set to be released worldwide in 2009. Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li will star actress Kristen Kreuk as Chun-Li, Michael Clark Duncan as Balrog, Neal McDonough as M. Bison, Taboo of Black Eyed Peas as Vega and Chris Klein as Charlie Nash. So what do you guys/girls think about this one...
Yeah you read that right, 21 years later there is a sequel coming out for Lost Boys! At first sight of this news I was afraid that this was something being put together by Ashton Kutcher's new show "Pop Fiction", thankfully a bit of research set my mind at ease. This film will more than likely wind up going the Direct to DVD route, but who cares after all... It's a sequel to LOST BOYS! A quick glance at IMDB confirms that both Corey Feldman and Corey Haim are set to "star" in Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, although the trailer seems to leave out Mr. Haim. Unfortunately, their are not a lot of details available on the plot, but you can more than likely expect this movie to focus on the Frog Brothers and the killing of vampires.
As we recently mentioned a few weeks ago, Mark Wahlberg has been cast as the title role in the upcoming Max Payne movie. For those of you dying to see what the former lead singer of Marky Mark and Funky Bunch looks like as Max Payne, and can't wait for the movie to release, your salvation has arrived with this post. In other news Max Payne it looks like the rest of the cast is taking shape as well. Pictures and more after the jump...
Well just in case you missed the Oscars last night here is the complete list of the Oscars Winners. Apparently, this is one hostile situation even Jack Bauer couldn't resolve. Due to the Writer's Guild strike Fox's extremely popular hour-long Drama '24' will not air new episodes until January 2009. Fox's original plan was to start airing new episodes this January and run them week to week without interruption, however the 24 episode format, strike delays, and star Keifer Sutherland's DUI Sentence forced Fox to hold the new season in order to keep from running into the typically lower rating summer season. As one of the original followers of '24' I can't tell you how lame I think this is... however, it will give me some time to catch up on the season or two I decided to miss on DVD. More after the break...
