Let's go back to 2005 if we may, during the E3 trade show in 2005 the video game Killzone 2 was announced. Sony decided for the announcement what better way to show of the game then unleashed a trailer. Well this trailer ended up creating a major stir in the market place. Critics and gamers alike argued that the trailer was nothing but a pre-rendered video and didn't show off an ounce of actual gameplay footage. Hell, I'll be the first to admit I was in the same camp as everything else. The level of visual detail was just unheard of and seemed almost impossible to do in real time.
